Hi, my name is Alessandra, I'm a twenty-six years old girl currently living in Alessandria, Italy. I joined the Workaway community because of my strong desire to travel the world, learn new languages, challenging myself in learning new skills and meet people from all over the world.

About myself: I graduated in Philosophy in 2022 and then I worked one year as a barista/waitress; then, I was employed in the Italian Post Office for another year until January 2025.

Having experience abroad has always been a strong desire of mine, and since I'm currently on a break from my previous work, I figured out that this is a perfect moment to take advantage of as well as a great opportunity for self-growth. So I'm currently planning to travel to Ireland in the next few months; I chose Ireland as my first destination because I'm highly fascinated by the beauty of its natural landscapes and ancient culture. Also I'm strongly motivated in practicing my spoken english while learning new skills and making myself useful. I see the Workaway experience as an opportunity to travel while experiencing the authentic lifestyle of a place, something that the regular touristic way of traveling cannot achieve.

Foreign languages are a strong passion of mine. I have an intermediate english level, as I have very good understanding and I would like to improve my spoken english. I also studied on my own a little bit of russian and a little bit of german and would be great to meet new people to practice these languages too. Also I think that I would very like the experience of helping those who want to pratice italian, wich is my native language.

After university, I worked for one year as a waitress and barista, so I'm used in serving food and drinks as well as dealing with customers. I can help in cooking meals and keeping common area tidy and clean. I'm a meticoulous and curious person and, despite the theoretical nature of my studies, I like to challenge myself in learning any type of new skill, and especially practical ones. I want to be a versatile person and I enjoy having all kind of experiences so that I can always learn something useful.

I enjoy reading and listening to music, as well as having walks in natural landscapes. I also love visiting places rich in traditions and culture and looking at beautiful and ancient architectures. I'm a dog owner and I have a good connection with pets and animals.
