Description
Hello!
We are Abby and Alyssa, a couple from Canada who moved abroad last June and have been travelling around since. We've been located in the UK but have wanted to expand our horizons.
Abby is a very outgoing, outdoorsy person. She loves to bike, hike, swim, run and snowboard, to name a few hobbies. During her downtime, she loves to cook and find new recipes to try. She loves to meet new people and try new things, one of her greatest loves is learning and she hopes to learn from some unique people on here.
Alyssa loves to go on walks, watch movies, cook and bake. She's much more of a homebody than Abby and prefers to spend her free time reading a book with a cat in her lap, but she does still enjoy going out and trying new things. She grew up playing football and loves playing tennis and swimming nowadays. Alyssa grew up around animals and children and loves to be able to spend time around them both, she had to move away from her own cats at home and her 2 year old nephew and misses them dearly so she's happy to be surrounded by little ones again.
We both really love to travel and experience nature in all forms, whether that be sitting admiring a sunset or going out for a morning kayak ride. We're excited to try out Workaway for all of these opportunities and the chance at connections.

Both Abby and Alyssa have experience in childcare. We both grew up babysitting and looking after the children in our families and communities and continued this throughout adulthood. We both really love to cook and meal plan, Alyssa is more of a home cook while Abby has worked multiple chef jobs globally.
Alyssa's main skills are around the house. Cleaning, tidying, organizing, pet care (she has a particular soft spot for cats but loves all animals) and maintenance tasks like painting and moving. Her degree is in Communications specializing in marketing and has a love of photography and curation, so she's happy to help with advice on small businesses and chat about furthering ones online presence. She was also a barista and has over 10 years of experience with coffee so she can make a mean flat white.
Abby is more focused on physical tasks and learning. She picks things up very quickly and is eager to learn new skills in any way. She has worked in landscaping, public transit and hospitality for a rounded CV. She is great at cleaning, cooking and organizing as well.

Abby is always looking for more card games to add to her arsenal and loves to teach others. Alyssa has a love for all things drinks, like cocktail making and speciality coffee and would be happy to swap tips and recipes.
