Hello there! I'm Zoe, a 26 years old nature guide and environmental educator from Palermo (Sicily, Italy)
I've travelled and volunteered in Permaculture's projects all around the Sicily and I worked in Grape harvest in France and Olive harvest in Sicily.
I love hiking, trekking, camping, travelling in any form and i've a general love for outdoor's, countryside and seaside, animals and plants.
I live with my father and a very big lovely black dog called Tana. I love bicycling, making terrariums, practice yoga.
I'm here to learn new skills and share experience (farming, animal care, natural buildings, greywater systems, compost methods, fermentation and storing food, DIY and crafts), and not least improve my english!
My life goal is to live in touch with nature, animals and plants, sharing sustainable practices and environmental enhance. Also through environmental education and other tools like Photography, Videomaking, Writing, Painting, Poetry. That's why I'm going to study Graphic Design at Academy of Fine Arts, beginning in September.
I often work as a nature guide with environmental education and I enjoyed a "National Civilian Service" volunteering until May 2025 at the Geology and Paleontology Natural Museum of Palermo where I dealt with guided tours, workshops for children and scientific dissemination on social media.
I am a clean and tidy person. I usually cook family meals, I have helped in the kitchen for large groups of people and I've worked in a B&b performing the duties of cleaning rooms and welcoming guests. I can look after animals such as dogs and cats. I have some small experience of interacting and caring for donkeys and horses, as well as in harvesting and managing the vegetable garden.
I can do workshops (usually for children) with herbariums, bind handmade notebooks, artisanal prints, create colors with natural elements (flowers, vegetables, soil), build terrariums and bug hotel, brushes and stamps, decorations with elements found in the woods such as acorns and sticks, exploration and discovery tools into the woods.
I can lead a small yoga practice.
I can produce graphic banners, posters, photograph and postproduce photos, posts on social media, edit videos with programs such as premiere and davinci, develop websites on wordpress. I am available to teach how to do these things.
