  • Description

    Hola!

My name is Yvonne and I am a 43-year-old women from Berlin, Germany who fell in love with Formentera at first sight last November. The island immediately felt like home. Perhaps because I grew up by the sea and in nature myself, and have never lost that connection, although I am living in a big city now.

After many years in the upscale hospitality and tourism industry, which showed me the world, I reoriented my career a few years ago. I wanted to move away from commercialization toward genuine, sustainable work with people. Today I work independently as a coach and trainer for personal development, health, movement, and stress management.

My passions are nature, water sports (SUP, kayaking, snorkeling), yoga, sound, and spirituality. But I'm very down-to-earth and can bridge well between alternative lifestyles and the conventional world. I'm curious and adventurous, but not an extreme sports junkie. A sustainable lifestyle, social justice, and compassionate communication are important to me.

I love deep conversations as much as hearty laughter, connecting with people as much as my moments of solitude. I'm passionate about cooking, and I love children and animals. I'm very loyal and have integrity – which is both my strength and my weakness. I've traveled extensively around the world with my backpack, always seeking authentic experiences.

In early March, I'll be attending a yoga training on Ibiza and would like to stay on Formentera for about three to four weeks afterward – the exact timing is still flexible and can be coordinated. I don't want to stay as a tourist in a hotel, but truly arrive, experience the island, and get to know the community that enchanted me so much on my first visit. When I travel, I always look for genuine connections and alternative ways of living together. And as the saying goes:” Nobody returns from a journey as the same person he left before!”

  • More details about your skills

A sense for hospitality and respectful interaction was something I learned early on at home, and later refined professionally in the hospitality and tourism industry. I'm organized, solution-oriented, and reliable. I know how to keep a place welcoming and well-maintained and can help well with household tasks and other daily activities.

As a coach and trainer for personal development, health, and wellbeing, I naturally bring knowledge about yoga, movement, relaxation, and mindfulness into my everyday life – and I'm always happy to share if there's interest.

I love cooking – especially vegetarian and vegan dishes – and can help out in the kitchen or prepare a nice meal for friends and family.

I'm handy enough for basic tasks, love helping in the garden, and enjoy working with plants and in nature. I get along very well with animals and children.

I'm authentic, communicative, a good listener, good at mediating, and enjoy bringing people together – at the same time, I also work well independently and don't need constant guidance.

I speak fluent German and English. I learned Spanish over 15 years ago with relatives in Northern Spain. Afterward, I worked in Mexico for half a year, which deepened my Spanish. It's a bit rusty now, but comes back quickly in conversation and I'm looking forward to reactivating it. In communication, a compassionate and non-violent interaction is important to me.

What I bring: reliability, openness, warmth, humor, a hands-on approach, and genuine interest in being part of a community rather than just a guest.
