My name is Xena and I am 27 years old. I live in a village in Switzerland.
I have worked as a primary school teacher for the past four years. Now, I am fulfilling my dream of taking a year off to travel, meet new people, learn new skills, and spend time on myself.

I am looking for a nice place with friendly hosts, where I can help out and experience a different way of life. Nature, wildlife and animals are very important to me and I strive to live an ecological, conscious lifestyle. Having grown up in a small village, I am used to helping with agriculture, working with animals and cooking. I would describe myself as a fast and eager learner who is creative and calm.

As a primary school teacher, I am accustomed to working with children and different types of people. I am interested in psychology and education. My main subjects are German, English, mathematics, science, PE, arts and music.

Alongside my studies, I worked in a small brewery that can be visited by groups. I am therefore experienced with guests and familiar with working in the kitchen. Cooking is also a big hobby of mine. As the brewery is located on a farm in the rural area I grew up, I also often helped with agricultural work, such as harvesting potatoes and hops. I also love working in vineyards and forests, and sometimes help out at a donkey sanctuary. Nowadays I mainly use my green thumb in my small garden.

As an active person, I love doing gymnastics, Pilates, running, swimming and hiking.
I also love to live out my creative streak with singing/ playing guitar, sewing, diy projects and painting.
