Hello there!

My name is Valeria, and I'm excited to introduce myself as a potential workawayer. I'm a 33-year-old residing in the beautiful Lake Como, Italy.
Currently, I work as a high school humanities teacher at the International School in my hometown. However, my passion for exploring new places has led me to diverse experiences.

Before entering the teaching profession, I worked as a destination representative, which allowed me to live in amazing countries such as Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Malta, Ireland, and Greece. This exposure has enriched my cultural understanding and language skills. I'm fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian (my mother tongue), and I am currently learning French.

In the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to embark on my first workaway adventure in Northern Ireland. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, assisting on a farm, taking care of the adorable dogs, and lending a hand with various household tasks. Nature and animals hold a special place in my heart, and I deeply appreciate the wonders they offer.

The experience left me eager for more; in fact, I spent last summer volunteering in an English school in Casablanca, Morocco. It was definitely one of the most enriching experiences of my life.

I consider myself a friendly and open-minded individual, always enthusiastic about meeting people from different backgrounds and embracing diverse cultures.

I hope to find new workaway experiences that align with my interests and values.
