Description
We are a married couple travelling one year in south america with our 2 motos, which allow us to reach more remote locations and share our adventure with local people. Sharing and caring is one key aspect of our travel and our life!

Julie :
I like a lot of things, one of which in particular: my motorcycle Lundi! This year, she takes me to discover South America! I love the adventure and the feeling of freedom that motorcycle travel can provide. I started at the age of 8, never to stop.
Daughter, sister, niece of farmers, I have already had the opportunity to work on the family farm during the harvest season.
Always close to animals, I grew up with my two best friends: my dog and my horse (who passed away at the age of 30).

Martin :
I have always worked in cosmopolitan environment and I love to exchange with people from different cultures than mine. For me, there is so much to learn from every piece of life shared during our travel. A workaway experience would be the perfect opportunity to help and live with local communities within a longer time frame.

Julie :
Thanks to the family business, I know the world of agriculture. Through my summer jobs, to pay for my studies, I regularly worked in the family cereal farm and in the breeding world (in particular the breeding of Arabian horses and Welsh and Shetland ponies).
Lawyer by training, I am rigorous and hardworking. I also had the opportunity to supervise a team for a year and a half before we left for our trip.

Martin :
I have a real attraction for people and people growth. I try everyday to learn which is what lead me to my PhD and like to share knowledge, such as students and trainees.
I love to cook and be in communities :-) I want to help those who need by doing daily chores. Working with animals is truly a plus!

Excelente pareja; llegaron en motocicleta y durante su estadía se involucraron totalmente con la granja, aprendieron hacer pan y colaboraron 100% con la granja.

Se agradece su energía y carisma.

Nous avons passés deux superbes semaines dans ce petit village Hasquiña dans la famille d'Aland, au début de la saison d'hiver.
Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Anne dès notre arrivée et nous avons pu échanger avec les habitants du village ainsi qu'avec les membres de l'équipe, Kiko et Christian. Nous avions une chambre et une salle de… read more bain pour nous deux.
Le travail consistait principalement au nettoyage et à l'entretien des parcelles d'Alfalfa, ainsi que des différents hangars. Nous avons également aidé à remplir, peser et stocker des sacs de fumier destinés à la vente.
Les après midis, nous avons régulièrement assisté Anne dans la cuisine, afin de faire du pain, des sopaipillas mais aussi en préparant crêpes, pancakes ou tarte au citron, ou paëlla et tortillas avec l'autre volontaire, Jaime.
Aland nous avait également organisé une sortie à cheval afin de faire un magnifique tour dans la vallée, jusqu'à l'observation de petroglyphs.
Nous passions les week ends avec toute la famille et ils ont toujours veillé à notre intégration et notre bien être.
Ce fut une merveilleuse aventure humaine et nous remercions encore une fois Aland, Anne et Hector pour nous avoir accueili chez eux, ainsi que Kiko pour la supervision du travail!

We spent two wonderful weeks in this small village of Hasquiña in Aland's family, at the start of the winter season.
We were very well received by Anne as soon as we arrived and we were able to chat with the inhabitants of the village as well as with the members of the team, Kiko and Christian. We had a bedroom and a bathroom for the two of us.
The work consisted mainly of cleaning and maintaining the fields of Alfalfa, as well as the various sheds. We also helped fill, weigh and store bags of manure for sale.
In the afternoons, we regularly assisted Anne in the kitchen, to make bread, sopaipillas but also by preparing crepes, pancakes or lemon tart, as well as paella and tortillas with the other volunteer, Jaime.
Aland had also organized a horse ride for us to take a magnificent tour of the valley, up to the observation of petroglyphs.
We spent weekends with the whole family and they always took care of our integration and our well-being.
It was a wonderful human adventure and we once again thank Aland, Anne and Hector for welcoming us into their home, as well as Kiko for supervising the work!
