My name is Rike, 25 years old and I’m currently doing an exchange in Bogotá. As I really liked my time so far in Colombia I want to stay two more months in this wonderful country and use this time for a workaway experience. I’m at the end of my master in Psychology and want to start the therapeutic formalization next year. My dream to come to Colombia started with dancing. For quite some time I have been dancing Salsa and Bachata in Germany. The Spanish music and the dance community motivated me to learn Spanish and travel to the country with the capital of Salsa 😊. Besides dancing Salsa and Bachata I also enjoy other types of dances like Urban or contemporary dance.
Overall, I consider myself a very openminded person, who likes to talk and listen to people from all over the globe and who has a great passion for music and dancing :).

Besides studying I’m also helping to organize a riding camp for children every year in June (since 2015). Months before the camp, I’m already looking forward to this week with the children (11-16 years old). It is amazing to see every year, how the children form bonds between them, and a great sense of community and connectedness is built in such a short time. On top of that you can spend the whole day outside, get creative in workshops, look after horses and just play games with the children.
Apart from working with juveniles I worked with people with disabilities and mental disorders. I also spent quite a few summer holidays working on a riding farm in England, where I practiced my English as well as my riding. 2016 I spent 3 months in the USA, where I worked two months on a farm and three weeks in hostel in San Francisco :)
