  • Description

    Hi there:)

My name is Tristan, I've decided to save up some cash and make some changes. You know, get out there. Create some stories. Have an impact. Explore... Live a little.

I'd love to befriend some fellow globetrotters. I am easy to talk to, and if you're into dad jokes, extremely funny too :) Feel free to (- and please) hit me up!!

I recently watched "The Peanut Butter Falcon" on Netflix (if you've yet to see it you should check it out!), the lifestyle portrayed in that movie is what I'm after. Being on the road with some great friends is da dream, right?

I've already spent about 10 months up in Michigan during an exchange year, and I want more!

Some of my hobbies include: mountain biking, snowboarding, producing and listening to music, acting and hanging out with friends (of course). I'm super keen on long and deep talks (even more so when combined with a bonfire and a cold beer). Oh, and I'd love to learn how to surf as I haven't really had the chance to in the past.

Other than inconceivably handsome, people would describe me as adventurous. I enjoy trying out new things; my unofficial bucket list holds activities such as: visiting every state in North America, seeing the Northern lights (✅ last summer), base jumping, scuba diving, and for good measure, taking a roundtrip to space (and taking a selfie with earth), because why not?

Well yeah, that's me in a nutshell.
Hit me up, I guess (unless you don't want to (in which case you probably shouldn't) ).

    See ya! :)

  • More details about your skills

I am a fast learner, as well as a hard worker.
I feel especially motivated when I enjoy what I'm doing or know what I'm doing it for.
As you may have been able to tell already, I am very ambitious:)

I have been in construction work for a couple summers now, and have learned a lot while at work.

Currently, I am employed in a greenhouse. In the short time I've worked here, I have already learned so much about gardening and picked up on on so many things I wouldn't have otherwise! By the time I leave Holland and spread my wings, (I wouldn't call myself a Peace Love and Plants Wizard, but) I should be quite experienced with that which grows:)

I'm good with computers and technology, in general.

My English is more or less fluent, I passed my CPE C2 exam a couple years ago with an overall score of 206. After having spent upwards of nine months in the US, I now talk, think, and even dream in English:) Obviously I am also fluent in Dutch.

I've got an ear for music and know my way around FL Studio and DJ controllers really well.

I'm probably forgetting a bunch of obvious things, but this is enough blowing my own trumpet for today.

I asked my sister if I missed anything, and was told that I'm apparently also very sympathetic, helpful and creative.

  • What else ...

In the past I've always felt rather introverted, though as of lately I've been getting more outgoing and more social. My awkwardness has been on a steady decline and I'd sure love to keep that trend going; another one of the many reasons I am interested in Workaway'ing!
