  • Description

    Hello!

My name is Thomas. I am at the end of a gap year between my Masters of Sustainable Social Change and starting work in academia/an NGO.
Throughout this year, I have done 3 months of WorkAwaying in a Colombian artist residency, travelled, and started a theatre group at home.
In the remaining one or two months, I would really like to once more be a part of a community and live close to nature.

I am an easy-going person who is very interested in the world around me and how everything comes together in it. What motivates me in this is to make deep connections with people. I do this already in my previous study, when playing theatre, being a tutor, and in earlier volunteer experience guiding young children with bad home situations and giving theatre/dance workshops in Colombia.
I am passionate about theatre, music, connecting with others, and contributing to the struggle for a more just and sustainable world.

I can contribute several things. As I am very interested in theatre and arts, I will anyhow be spending some time on that. If that can be as part of the workaway (e.g. creating workshops/ performing), that would be great! Otherwise, see it as an addition to my possibly stay. Other activities that I have experience in and want to help with are to cook, teach, work with animals or children, and to do general maintenance. besides that, I am also interested in construction. so far this experience is only in the construction in festivals but I am very interested in working with wood or other bio materials.

I hope that if you are reading this, you can use someone who takes initiative, is enthusiastic, and generally thrives well in groups. And I wish you a nice day!

  • What else ...

In general, I really enjoy making a connection with people. It is my core motivator for all my activities.

Furthermore, I like to have a bit of humour and weirdness. But, as seen by my study, I also have a thingy for societal struggles for sustainability. So you can really choose the big and small stuff to talk about with me :)
