Description

We are a French couple from the Franche-Comté region, both 32 years old, currently taking a year off to travel and work in Australia. We’ll be available in Tasmania from the 25th of November.
We’re passionate about hiking and outdoor activities, we love nature, wildlife, and pets. We enjoy many different sports (yoga, canyoning, surfing, boxing, running…), and we’re always keen to try something new.
We’re also bons vivants: we love cooking and eating good food, enjoying good wine, and discovering local specialties.
We’re interested in art, culture, and literature, and we really enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories and experiences. We’re curious, open-minded, enthusiastic travellers and easy to live with.
We’re also practical and hands-on:
• Sylvan enjoys arts and crafts and has experience helping with house renovations. He LOVES dogs.
• Julie used to grow her own vegetables back home and volunteered on a permaculture farm in Ecuador. She can’t refrain herself from rescuing abandoned animals.

We’re both happy to help with gardening, small projects, general maintenance, animal care, cooking, or anything we can learn.
We look forward to meet new people and discover Tasmania!

Sylvan was a 3D technical artist for the cinema and video-games industry. He did a lot of manual labor and seasonal work to pay for his studies so he's used to power tools and physical labor.

Julie is a French teacher in the national education system. She used to work as a camp leader for teenagers and also had jobs such as waitress and back-store assistant when she was a student.
