Hello,
My name is Suze, I'm currently living in Porto and have August and a bit of September to explore new areas of Portugal.
I was born and lived in Brazil until I was 15 and then moved to Canada, where I spent 9 years and became Canadian as well. I left the Americas for Europe three years ago to start my backpacking adventure, but it was interrupted when I discovered and fell in love with scuba diving and decided to settle in Malta to become an instructor, which happened in the summer of 2024. After a few more months of living on the island a change was needed and I came to Portugal.
I'm creative and hands on with eco projects; I am teaching myself to make jewellery and ink out of avocado seeds and other natural pigments and I have been re-learning to embroider, crochet and sew. I like to go out for walks, collect bouquets and flowers for pressing that get painted onto glass. I am passionate about the environment, taking and teaching actions anyone could implement to reduce their impact and take care of our beautiful natural world.

Meu nome é Suze, atualmente moro no Porto e tenho agosto e começo de setembro para explorar novas áreas de Portugal.
Nasci e morei no Brasil até os 15 anos e depois me mudei para o Canadá, onde passei 9 anos e também me naturalizei canadense. Deixei as Américas para a Europa há três anos para começar minha aventura de mochila, mas ela foi interrompida quando descobri e me apaixonei pelo mergulho e decidi me estabelecer em Malta e me tornar instrutora, o que aconteceu no verão de 2024. Depois de mais alguns meses morando na ilha, uma mudança foi necessária e vim para Portugal.
Sou criativa e prática com projetos ecológicos; estou aprendendo a fazer joias e tinta com sementes de abacate e outros pigmentos naturais, e tenho reaprendido a bordar, fazer crochê e costurar. Gosto de caminhar, colecionar buquês e flores para prensar e depois pintar em vidro. Sou apaixonada pelo meio ambiente, implementando e ensinando ações que qualquer pessoa pode usar para reduzir seu impacto e cuidar do nosso belo mundo natural.

I have experience in building, especially stone walls and brick restoration, as I've worked as a stonemason apprentice; I am comfortable using most hand and power tools, and have also operated forklifts before.
I also enjoy and have experience in customer service, having worked at a winery with sales and tour guiding, and also catering and retail stores. (I can give you references upon request)
I am detail-oriented as well as organized, and most of all, am keen to learn and improve!
Tenho experiência em construção, especialmente em paredes de pedra e restauração de tijolos, pois trabalhei como aprendiz de pedreiro; sinto-me confortável usando a maioria das ferramentas manuais e elétricas e já operei empilhadeiras.
Também gosto e tenho experiência em atendimento ao cliente, tendo trabalhado em uma vinícola com vendas e guia turístico, além de serviços de buffet e lojas de varejo. (Posso fornecer referências mediante solicitação)

What else ...
Having lived in British Columbia, Canada, I developed a passion and need for the outdoors in the form of hiking and camping, exploring new places (road trips!) and most recently scuba diving, which has opened up a whole new world that I am loving to learn about.
I enjoy going to live music shows and am pretty eclectic with my music taste, it depends on the mood of the day. Also like to play games, anything from Catan, gin rummy, yahtzee, to volleyball, dodgeball and foosball. Although I am a beginner cook I would love to learn and trade/share recipes and meals.
I am always down for an adventure or a new venture, including art projects! I like painting and woodworking as well as knitting and crocheting, or learning something new.

Morando na Colúmbia Britânica, Canadá, desenvolvi uma paixão e uma necessidade por atividades ao ar livre, como trilhas e acampamentos, explorando novos lugares (roadtrip!) e, mais recentemente, mergulho, o que me abriu um mundo totalmente novo que estou amando aprender sobre.
Gosto de ir a shows de música ao vivo e sou bastante eclética quanto ao meu gosto musical; depende do meu humor do dia. Também gosto de jogos desde Catan, gin rummy, yahtzee, até vôlei, queimada e pebolim. Embora eu seja iniciante, adoraria aprender e trocar/compartilhar receitas e refeições.
Estou sempre disposta para uma aventura ou um novo empreendimento, incluindo projetos de arte! Gosto de pintar e fazer projetos com madeira, além de tricô e crochê, ou aprender algo novo.
