Hi, I am Sophie :-)
I live and work in Germany and I am looking for new experiences outside my regular work in the office. I prefer being in the nature. For example, I really enjoy hiking and windsurfing (ice skating/skiing in the winter), either in the surrounding area or in other countries when travelling. I like to work in the garden or in the forest and then cook and bake with the things I have harvested there ;-)
Other things I do in my freetime: (hand)crafting, going to and dancing at concerts/festivals, watching theatre/ballet, learning Polish and Slovenian, volunteering at sports events and I am very passionate about basketball (playing and watching).
I registered with Workaway to experience other sites while travelling. Especially working together with people as well as learning things about other countries/traditions and new skills.

More details about my language interests
I am interested in improving the languages I already speak (especially Polish and Slovenian) and learning further slavic languagues. If there is interest, I could also try to teach German ;-)

I am organised and flexible (working currently as a project manager and before, as a natural scientist). I work in the service sector, so you can expect me to be polite, respectful and friendly :-)
I am creative and I have (hand)crafting skills. I have experience in cooking, baking, cleaning, working in the garden/forest and with sheep and chicken.
It is not a problem for me to speak in front of people, e.g. in front of groups, as a tourist guide, etc.
Last but not least, I am interested in learning new skills and meet new people.
