Description

My main interest in life is self-development, which is the reason why I decided to join Work away. I've always been a naturally curious person, I love learning about new cultures, new languages, new food, meeting new people and learning new skills. I am pretty much open to anything, because I believe that any experience contains a valuable life lesson.

However, I do have a preference for smaller towns/rural areas over the big city. I have always preferred a slower paced life. I love going for hikes and surrounding myself with nature. I have a great interest in meditation, yoga, mindfulness and Buddhism. I like spending time alone, but I am also a people person. Getting to know new people and learning about their inner worlds is one of my favourite things in life. I'm also a big fan of playing boardgames, which is of course more enjoyable when played with others. I also recently learned how to play chess, and would love to teach others/play with them.

Most of my other hobbies are more introverted such as reading, writing, and nature photography. I prefer to spend my time in peace and quiet, but do appreciate the hustle and bustle of a city every so often. If I do go to a party you will most definitely find me on the dance floor, because I do really love dancing. I'm also a big foodie, I love good food and would love to learn new recipes! Other than that I care greatly about the wellbeing of people, animals, and nature so I am very excited to contribute to this.

I have a bachelor in English Language & Culture and teaching experience. I also currently volunteer at a vegetable garden where I have gained some gardening skills (but would love to learn more!). In general I am very open-minded, curious, hard working, easy going and creative. I also have experience within the hospitality branch and event management.
