  • Description

    Satya:

Raised on a farm in Southern Ontario, with almost every farm animal to love and care for, I have always lived in small towns in southern Ontario with healthy sprinkle of traveIing; learning and celebrating the spirit of diverse cultures and language.
I am an adventurous life long learner first and foremost , then co-founder of several organizations that build communities in service of a thriving, sustainable and joyful life for all.
I am a mother of 4( my greatest teachers) - aka organized happy go lucky spirit , have degree in hospitality with 20 years experience at all levels, 25 + years as a health and wellness practitioner, teacher and personal coach, as well as a facilitator, connector of dots and ignitor to scale initiatives.
I enjoy doing house sits and caring for animals( done several on Trustedhousesitters.com) ,hanging out with my 82 year old Mama baking and cooking, yoga, knitting, singing, doing card readings and drumming.
A favourite memory is having a big group of energetic fun loving youth in our kitchen getting creative and learning the culinary art of falling in love with food . I am grateful for each small precious moment and miracle that steps onto my path.
As a coach and many year organizer and ignitor I have made it my life mission to do what it takes to have Drawdown happen, reversing global warming by 2050 leading the way in spirit of fun and sustainability! My partner and I have ignited several hubs locally, city , provincial and nationwide.
This is the work I would ideally like to be doing at a Workaway as well as developing my language skills.

    Jon:
I have been a professional organizational and leadership consultant/coach for over 30 years, with a background in the history and philosophy of science. I studied at SF State and UC Berkeley, but mostly self-taught. I have facilitated hundreds, if not h=thousands of workshops, retreats, strategy development sessions, leadership trainings, etc.
On the practical side, I began my working career as a building contractor, with 3 spec homes and dozens of remodels, rebuilt the engine in my 1963 Chevy truck and worked fixing broken hi-fi systems with my uncle. I have harvested potatoes, squash and asparagus, sailed the winds and tides of San Francisco Bay and backpacked the Cascades for 10 days at a time with two young children.
If I don't know how to do something I love figure it out.
Satya and I have helped create and disseminate transformational interactive multi-media programs that help people find their contribution to changing the broken dream of the modern world, reverse global warming and bring forth a sustainable, regenerative human world, living in harmony with the all creation.
We are on a journey to discover where "Home" is for us, actively seeking to learn what others have discovered in their journeys so far.
