Hello everyone!
I'm Francesca, I'm a 24-year-old lady currently living in Bologna, Italy. I have lived here for five years because I moved to pursue my degree in education, and I'm currently working as an educator with pre-adolescents. I'm originally from a small village in Northern Sardinia, where I lived until the end of high school, then I moved to Bologna, where I still live today.
I'm looking for a host who can accommodate me during the month of August (it's okay even if it's not for the entire month). This would be my first experience with Workaway, but I have previously traveled for short/medium periods.
I'm a creative, sensitive, introspective, and curious person. I'm fascinated by the world, and I truly enjoy spending time in nature, with which I have a very strong connection. I love animals and enjoy observing and getting to know them (insects, fish, birds — everything!). I currently enjoy birdwatching, and during the summer, when I return to my house in Sardinia, I like to go snorkeling.
I'm an active person: I used to practice yoga, but lately I am more into Pilates. In any case, I enjoy staying active — I move around the city by bicycle and I'm not afraid of long walks!
I truly enjoy meaningful and deep connections with people. I specialized in outdoor education because I wanted to connect my studies to my ideals and my vision of the world: I want to help new generations discover the beauty of nature.
I'm into a sustainable lifestyle, or at least I try to live in a way that causes the least possible harm to the world we live in.
I currently have a dream: I want to become an illustrator. I've loved drawing since I was a child, and after many years of not listening to my true inspiration, I'm finally working to achieve this little dream! :-)
I'm vegan, so I'm looking for a host who respects or shares this lifestyle choice.

I would like to learn new skills, even if it's something I have never or barely done before. I can offer all my motivation, curiosity, and energy. I would like to learn about gardening, animal care, or DIY and building projects — I'm open-minded about this aspect.
I can say that I'm a creative thinker and problem solver. I like to create and get involved in little DIY projects. I learned to sew and I used to enjoy creating new clothes from upcycled fabric. I also used to work with clay, and I enjoy drawing.
I like to cook and experiment with cuisine; I really enjoy trying new recipes. I can also cook some Italian or Sardinian dishes in a vegan way.
I have experience with children aged 3 to 11 years old, because even though I currently work with boys and girls aged 11 to 14, I used to work with younger children too, and I enjoy spending time with them.
I can take care of the house, and I am completely independent when it comes to cleaning, cooking, and general house care.

I don't smoke and I barely or never drink alcohol. I have a quiet lifestyle.
I don't have any problem spending time alone; I know how to entertain myself, but I truly enjoy shared time, especially during meals and through deep and meaningful conversations.
It's been a couple of years since I started wanting to travel with Workaway, and finally I'm trying to make it happen, so I'm truly grateful and excited.
