Hi there! :)
We are Romy (26) and Fabi (25) - a vegan couple, both from the countryside of Eastern Germany.
After finishing our university degrees (Fabi in mechanical engineering, Romy in teaching), we come to fulfill our dream of travelling the world together for the next 3 or so years. We are open-minded, passionate, curious and willing to learn lots of new skills and grow along the way.
We enjoy being outdoors, watching sunsets or listening to the sound of the ocean.
In fact, we are very excited to get to know the travelling versions of ourselves and can't wait for it all to start!

- animal care (volunteered at a wildlife sanctuary in Australia before, LOVE animals!!)

Fabi:
- building and constructing things (worked as an engineer, built own gym equipment)
- anything related to lifting, carrying, pushing heavy things (Fabi is pretty strong!)
- black belt in judo

- very knowledgable regarding sports, pain managment and the body as such

What else ...

What we did so far through HelpX and workaway:
- helpX in Austria : building a water pond, chopping and stacking wood, some wall work, cooking, repairs
- workaway in Croatia at an animal sanctuary: taking care of animals, feeding, giving them love, repairing a sheep shed, building a gate, digging up a garden bed, planting, gardening
- workaway at a guesthouse in the Albanian countryside: general maintenance, building stairs on a walking path, cement work on the house, cooking, some creative projects
(we even gave a little concert in the village one evening - cf. photo)
- helpX in Quebec: digging a trench, lifting heavy stones out of up to 4 feet (1,20m) depth, cooking
- workaway in Sechelt, BC, Canada: general household chores, cleaning, cooking, gardening

We are a musical couple. Fabi plays guitar, Romy sings, plays guitar and piano and writes her own songs ( we met in a band project (; ). We are passionate about a healthy lifestyle with sports and a plant-based diet. We love animals and do not eat them. At home we both regularly did strength training and even did competitions in powerlifting. Romy also loves running and dancing. She has lived in Australia and England before and traveled already quite a bit.
We both enjoy being outdoors, hiking or just exploring. We are very curious to learn new skills and grow!
