My next destination:
Scotland, United Kingdom - from Aug 2025 until Sep 2025 View allDescription
Originally from the rural South West of England, I am keen to meet new people and communities, to travel independently in a more flexible/fluid way. I wish to be out in the world and explore again after 'lockdown', do something that will take me out of my comfort zone, further my creativity and open up my imagination. I should like the opportunity to experience a place as a local as opposed a tourist and want to discover more of the world, particularly Canada, Alaska and Ireland. I see myself as a life long learner; education and learning new things is something I really value. This is my third year doing Workaway. I have travelled a fair bit in the past including Europe, Russia, Iceland, North America and Ireland.

What else ...
I enjoy walking/hiking and being outdoors. I have done some long distance hiking in the past (Camino Frances, Via Francigena). I am a keen photographer. An avid reader. Fascinated by local history. I enjoy Nordic Walking and Yoga. I have a strong work ethic, able to work independently once you show me what's required. A problem solver. Most energised when there is a balance between being in community and spending time alone.
