Description

My name is Theresa Dissmann, I am 19 years old, live in Berlin, and come from a large family with a total of five children.
This summer, I will be finishing school and I am looking for an opportunity to go abroad between July and December – to make new connections, form friendships, and become part of everyday life in a host family.

I discovered my passion and inspiration for international exchange early on.
At the age of 15, I took part in my first student exchange program in Grenoble. There, I not only discovered my love for the French language, but also deeply enjoyed the unique experience of cultural exchange and personal growth.
Last year, I spent a full year in Madrid as part of another exchange program. I was highly motivated and excited to learn languages and take on a new challenge.
Both experiences gave me a meaningful and authentic insight into the local culture through living with host families – and I was lucky to build lasting friendships along the way.

I also bring a lot of experience in childcare – not only through my four younger siblings.
For the past four years, I have regularly babysat for various families, worked in a hotel kids’ club, and taught children how to ski during the holidays as a ski instructor.
Working with children comes very naturally to me and brings me a lot of joy – whether it's cooking, playing, crafting, or doing sports, I’m always enthusiastic and happy to get involved.

One of my biggest passions is sports and being active outdoors. I’ve gone hiking with my family since I was little, and in my free time, I love going jogging, swimming, playing volleyball, and find joy in every kind of sport in general.
