Description
Hello :)
My names Rachel and I am looking for workaways in Mexico between mid November - end of April. I'm interested in opportunities involving adventure, sports, animals and farming - learning more about Mexican culture, traditions, permaculture, and food.
I love the natural world, being outside, being active, the beach, animals and dancing.
I am very interested in conservation, eco-projects and those which help local communities, as well as improving upon existing skills and learning new ones. I would love to improve my Spanish and am happy to help with your English.
I currently work as a landscape gardener and am definitely no stranger to hard work .
I can ride horses, I skateboard, I love snorkelling, and play drums and am equal parts adventurous and chilled.Interests

More details about your skills
I work as a landscape gardener and have good knowledge of plants and small scale organic food production. I'm a very practical person and know to use a wide range of tools - I completed a Carpentry Qualification in College although this was a long time ago. I have experience with land management/maintenance. I have worked lots of odd jobs such as painting/decorating and fencing.
I'm great with animals and enjoy looking after them for friends when they are away on holiday. I used to work in a conservation centre for British Wildlife and have experience looking after a wide variety of different animals from horses, cows, pigs, sheep and chickens to reptiles, cats, dogs, rodents and so on.
I'm a musician and play drums at a professional level along with very basic guitar and violin. I'm very active and also love to skateboard, snorkel, ride horses and go cycling. I'm an experienced horse rider - I've been riding horses on and off my whole life and we had a family horse who has now retired.
I've worked in the events, leisure and hospitality industry and am good at talking to people from all different walks of life. I can lead groups of people whilst making sure everyone is happy, safe, feels involved and is having a great time :)
I believe in treating everyone, animals and humans, with compassion and respect.
I'm very hardworking and love to get stuck in on a project - I'm quick to learn, follow instructions well and happy to turn my hand to most things :) I'm also very trustworthy - I turn up when I say I will and stick to my word!Age

What else ...
I'm interested in meeting new people and learning more about traditional, sustainable, eco-friendly ways of life, farming/permaculture techniques and off grid living. I have a very wide range of skills and am more than happy to put them to use however my host sees fit - I like to be helpful and feel useful!
