Description

Hello Workaway Community! My name is Kayla and I'm so excited a group of so many people passionate about travel and cultural exchange. When I was in college I lived abroad in Colombia and Europe, which were some of the happiest moments of my life. Joining work away, I'm seeking the cultural and language exchange I've longed for since I've returned.

My friends, family, and coworkers would say I'm bubbly, open-minded, hard working, and thoughtful. In my free time I enjoy seeing friends, surfing, yoga, and travel.

I'm open to the type of workaways I'd like to experience, and hoping to participate in cultural exchange as well as, possibly, learning a new language.

I studied advertising & public relations in university and have worked in hospitality, advertising, child care, and fitness ( yoga) for a little less than a decade.

Most recently I worked on branding for large brands, such as Jeep. I also know how to brew kombucha, bake bread, and can be handy, if I put my mind to it. I'm great at problem solving, always willing to chip in when needed, and enjoy bringing people together. In the past I was a nanny in Spain and a counselor at a Farm Camp for kids when I was younger.

I love hiking, healthy living, salsa dancing, surfing, and learning new things! I'm also on the hunt to find someone to teach me something new, or share my hobbies with someone. I like to be outside and cooking.
