Hi everyone, my name is Pia and I´m a very youthful 52-year old woman, who is ready to explore the world again now that my dear daughter grew up and moved on her own. I´m new to Workaway, but I have travelled in quite many places before :)
I´m an active person and in very good shape!
I´m an easygoing, polite and responsible person, I get along with just about anybody. I have a bright sense of humour as well ;)
I´m a huge animal LOVER, I also love nature, photographing and to be outdoors. Sustainable living, mindfulness, yoga, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, cooking vegetarian food and baking are all close to my heart. I´m passionate about picking wild herbs, berries, mushrooms etc. and making delicious, healthy food of them.
I live in Finland in the countryside, in the middle of the forest, the nearest store is about 15 km away. In Finland we have lot of nature, woods, lakes and fresh air. I enjoy the bright summers here, but not as much the long and dark winters.

I have been working with a lot of different jobs, night guard, eco farm work, horse farm, clothing store, kiosk, fastfood restaurant, receptionist and animal care. I had my own business for 10 years, a home help service, which included cleaning, childcare, animal care, house sitting, gardening etc.
I have a further vocational qualification as a nature and wilderness guide.
I did my practical training for 1 month in Spain at a horse riding farm. It was hard work, but definitely a great experience and very teaching

I have two cats currently. I have been taking care of cats and dogs almost my whole life. I have had a horse and some guinea pigs in the past as well, so I´m experienced taking care of other animals too.
I have also been horseback riding since I was a child and working with and taking care of horses for many years.
