Description
Hello everyone!
This is the account of our family of three, David, Pia and our four year old son Fiete.
We plan to travel in 2024 to different countries of Europe with our thrity year old campervan called "Bullerbü".
We would like to start by introducing ourselves a little bit.
We live together in Freiburg, Germany and David and Pia are both studying forestry, finishing at the end of this year.
Pia:
My name is Pia Dechering and I am 25 years old. Next to traveling my main interest in life is nature conserving and sustainabilty. I love hiking, swimming and just being in nature.
When I was 19 I already used workaway for travelling for one year after school. I mainly worked on farms with different animals like sheeps or horses. In addition to caring for the animals, gardening, building and handicrafts were also part of my daily tasks.
I am an open-minded and friendly person and not shy to make my hands dirty. I would like to make many new experiences and learn new things.
David:
My name is David Natalis and I am 28 years old. I studied forestry and next to this my main interests are hunting, fishing, picking mushrooms etc. Basically everything related to outdoors and nature. This will be my first workaway experience and I am very exitited for this new experience and to connect with different people. I already have some experience in manual work and forestry work and look forward to working with you
Fiete:
My name is Fiete and I am four years old. And I am about to go on by biggest adventure with my parents soon and I am very excited.
My interest at the moment are dinosaurs, dragons and all animals in general, especially beetles.
I am an active person and my most balanced self in nature. Also, I am a very open and friendly person. My biggest wish is to make new friends while travelling with my family.

We both have different skills and experiences.
Pia has already experiences with workaway as she already travelled with workay for one year in 2016/17. She made experiences with animal care, gardening, building, handicrafts, taking care of children and much more.
David is a learned carpenter and has worked in this job quite some time. Moreover he lived in Canada for two years and worked there in forestry. Mainly cutting trees with the help of horses.

What else ...
We travel with our campervan so we need a spot for parking at our future host. The advantage is that we do not need accomodation as we can sleep in it.
