Description
Hi, my name is Mikka (she/her) and I'm 42 y.o. libriarian from north-west Poland, currenctly on a great bicycle journey around Europe.
I had two passions in my life. First was my job, second was travelling. And for several years I could't decided which one is more important for me. But one day I found a courage to leave all my life behind me, sold apartment, quit job and become a traveler. Until now I have been to 20 countries and passed over 40.000 km.

As a workawayer I can do many things, cause I'm really open-minded person. Please, bear in mind that I'm not a technically gifted person, certainly not a handyman. But I am conscientious and responsible, and if I commit to something, I keep my word. And I can simply be someone's helper. I learn quickly and like to acquire new skills.
I am a good teacher, I have very good contact with children, I am patient and gentle by nature. I like animals, all of them actually (although I am afraid of snakes and spiders). I have worked on a farm, looked after chickens, milked cows, and also walked dogs and cut wood in the forest. These are my only experiences for now. I am waiting for new ones.
If you really want to use my skills, remember that I am a great organizer and I do very well in independent tasks that require good organization. I am very open and friendly to people.

I have been dreaming about traveling around Europe for many years, but first I decided to get to know my own country thoroughly, which turned out to be more beautiful than I could have imagined. And it took me 12 years (2007 - 2020).
In 2021 started my journey around Europe, from Poland through Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark and back to Poland. Almost 7 moths, more than 10.000 km. Still think that it's a journey of my life, because nothing would happen without it.
In 2023 I was on a way from Poland to Portugal. This time it was exactly one year and more than 11.000 km.
I travel very slow and like to enjoy the way to the full. Have my own philosophy of travelling and believe that places are only an excuse to set your goals. And even though they are important, it's not as a tourist atraction, but much more as something surprising and not obvious. More important are people on my way, and the most important are my own experiences.
In 2024 I have living and working in Lisbon, Portugal. In 2025 I continue my journey. This time, my goal is Barcelona, but first, another very long life on the way. And just like everything in my life, what happens along the way is equally important to me, or maybe even more important. I'm not thinking about reaching my destination for now. It's just there somewhere in the future. The route to Barcelona will take me through the south of Portugal, Andalusia, then I want to spend two months in Morocco. It's interesting because I didn't consider this country before, and now I feel like I really want to go there. I want to spend Summer 2025 in the south of Spain and find seasonal work. In the fall, the last stage of the journey, through Madrid and Zaragoza to Barcelona. And again – new job, new place to live for a while. Of course, this is a very short summary, because there are many more experiences waiting for me along the way.
