Travelling
Description
Workaway seems to be my dream website. I want to do every opportunity on here, but my main passion is animals. I hope to travel in South America from Oct 2023 - May 2024. And maybe Asia the year after! My dream job would be to make a living rehabilitating/rescuing/protecting endangered species. I recently discovered Earth League International and hope to get a degree in wildlife/environmental crime and play a part in that organisation. But first, South America, beautiful places with beautiful people and I hope to encounter both whilst contributing what I can.

More details about your skills
- Ive spent a month in Malaysia/Borneo, where we did community projects like fixing up the town hall (shack). We spent a few days in the jungle, hours of trekking, I loved every second. I was the positive light-hearted voice among the weary, as being in difficult situations in strange places is exactly what puts a smile on my face.
- My actual experience is mostly manual labour jobs, working with power tools, machinery and varying tradesmen. I have a forklift license which i doubt will come in handy in SA, but my point is I’m no stranger to a hard days work.
- In the summers I work festivals, where I’ve played managerial rolls of small groups. The work consists of building wooden structures and large tents for the glamping side of things. The work is hot, you live with limited luxuries, and the wooden walls/roofs are heavy. But you make friends, enjoy the changes of scenery and the beautiful music.
- I’m also learning spanish, and would love to practice that with whomever has the patience hahaAge
