Hi! We’re Natalie and Sam — a curious, outgoing, and hard-working couple from the U.S. traveling together on our first international Workaway adventure. Over the past year we’ve explored the U.S., worked on a farm in Maui, lived seasonally on Mackinac Island, and supported a variety of community projects. We love stepping into new environments as a team: Sam brings big-picture energy, leadership, and enthusiasm, while Natalie adds research, creativity, warmth, and organization. Together we’re adaptable, communicative, and excited to learn from the places and people we meet.

Between the two of us, we have strong experience in hospitality, guest services, childcare, animal care, farm work, cleaning and organization, community-building, and creative projects like photography, video, and social media. Natalie has over five years in the food industry, a great eye for design, and a knack for creating tidy, welcoming spaces. Sam has a background in nonprofit leadership, event support, fast-paced food service, and community engagement, along with photo/video skills and beginner ESL experience. We’re both fast learners, naturally social, and genuinely enjoy pitching in wherever help is needed — whether that’s with guests, kids, animals, chores, outdoor work, or creative tasks.

We’re looking for Workaway experiences that value kindness, cultural exchange, and teamwork. Hostels, guesthouses, community or creative projects, families who need an extra set of hands, and farm or outdoor work all spark our interest. What excites us most about traveling is connecting with people, appreciating local culture, and sharing meaningful moments. Above all, we value kindness, shared meals, curiosity, and meaningful conversations — the things that make travel feel like home.
