I have nearly ten years of volunteering experience in China. I have visited remote mountain areas multiple times to help local impoverished families, especially children, so those who lacked the means to provide for education coud obtain scholarships. I have also worked as a volunteer teacher in areas habited by ethnic minorities (the Yi people of Sichuan), fitting into their community through learning their language and customes.
