Description
Hello! My name is Miki, and I’m passionate about sustainable living, agriculture, and community-driven projects. I currently live in Berlin, where I work with Slow Food Deutschland, focusing on meaningful work in food systems and agricultural development. I am also a student of agriculture and horticulture science.
Furthermore and exciting part -
I am in the process of starting my own small agricultural and community space in Tusa, Sicily, cultivating olive trees and other produce as well as creating a community building space.
I love working with plants and have experience caring for a variety of them, from citrus trees and herbs to succulents and even dragon fruit! I’m a hands-on person who enjoys gardening, learning about sustainable farming, and finding creative ways to work with nature.
I’m equally enthusiastic about working with animals of all kinds and would love opportunities to help care for them. Additionally, I’m keen on learning more about eco-sustainable building techniques. On my own land, I’m planning to construct a traditional pagghiaru, the Sicilian shepherds’ shelter, using local materials and sustainable methods. I’m eager to gain experience with construction and contribute to similar projects, whether it’s building homes, farm structures, or unique eco-friendly spaces.
Community and connection are central to my values. I’m passionate about working in and building vibrant community spaces, creating networks, and supporting collaborative projects. I’m especially committed to fostering sustainable networks and community initiatives, where I can invest in developing connections and projects that bring people together through shared knowledge, resources, and creativity.Languages

More details about your skills
I am currently studying horticulture and agricultural science, combining a solid theoretical foundation with practical experience in sustainable farming. My hands-on work includes basic care for various plants like citrus trees, avocado, herbs, succulents etc., focusing on planting, pruning, pest management, and general plant health. I am eager to expand my skills in eco-friendly practices, permaculture, and soil regeneration. I’m also enthusiastic about animal care and willing to work with any kind of livestock or pets. In addition, I’m passionate about sustainable construction, particularly learning how to build traditional shelters (like Sicilian pagghiaru) using local, eco-friendly materials.
My experience working in community-driven environments has strengthened my ability to collaborate, organize, and develop networks. I’m currently trying to build connections and community initiatives in Tusa, Sicily, while my work with Slow Food Deutschland has enhanced my teamwork, leadership, and project management skills. With fluency in English, Italian, and German, I enjoy exchanging ideas and meaningful conversations. I’m motivated, adaptable, and excited to contribute to agricultural, construction, animal care, or community-building projects while learning from others and sharing my knowledge.Age
