Kia ora!
We’re a couple from Christchurch, New Zealand, currently taking time off work to travel and experience life a little differently. I’m a paramedic and Mike’s an environmental engineer. We’ve both been in our fields for several years and are now on secondment, spending this time bikepacking through Europe after recent travels in Nepal and India.
We’re practical and hands-on—Mike enjoys carpentry and problem-solving, and I love gardening, especially growing food. We’ve renovated our home together and particularly enjoy outdoor and creative projects. I paint and sew, Mike’s into music, and we both appreciate spaces where creativity, sustainability, and community matter.
The outdoors is a big part of our lives—whether it's hiking, biking, skiing or climbing, we’re happiest when active and connected to nature. Friends and family are really important to us, and we value being part of shared spaces where people support each other and get stuck in.
We’re easygoing, eager to work hard, and always keen to learn something new.

We’re both hands-on, adaptable, and quick to learn. We enjoy working hard, especially when it involves practical or creative tasks.
I’ve worked as a paramedic for the past five years, which means I’m used to thinking clearly under pressure, communicating well, and connecting with people from all walks of life. I also have experience as a babysitter and enjoy spending time with kids.
Mike is an environmental engineer with a sharp, practical mind. He’s an excellent problem solver, loves to build and fix things, and is always curious about how things work. He’s also a clear communicator and great at approaching tasks logically.
We both love gardening and have put a lot of time into our own at home. One day, we’d love to grow a fully self-sustaining garden. In the meantime, we’re always keen to learn more about growing food and working with the land.
We’re physically fit, enjoy being outdoors, and are comfortable taking on a wide range of jobs—from garden work and building projects to helping with kids or creative tasks.
