An Emphatic caring person who, realising life is moving too fast wants to enjoy more experiences.
A significant birthday in 2022 prompted my decision to travel (with full support from family) and so I travelled solo to Ghana joining a volunteer group to help with English and reading groups in primary school.
I had no background in education but was able to help with pronunciation, phonics etc and was overwhelmed by the children's enthusiasm and the schools gratitude.
Ghana was simply beautiful and friendly and I made many friends locally and amongst other volunteers.
On my return to the UK I signed up to and completed a level 5 TEFL language course.
*UPDATE*
Second trip to Ghana completed and thoroughly enjoyed. Having locals as friends makes the whole experience so much better.
Now working on lesson plans for Girl empowerment clubs for my return...

My career has always been in Horticulture, currently i run my own Landscape garden business in UK.
So my skills cover manual labour, planting, farming, building, environmental issues. on top of that is my new found passion for education and English language teaching
