Thanks for taking the time to read my profile!
I am Michele (37yr), originally from Florence, Italy, and I’m looking for meaningful experiences through Workaway.

I’m a versatile and hands-on person, I enjoy DIY projects and over the years I’ve worked in different artisanal fields. I’m naturally curious, always learning, researching, and expanding my skills, while also valuing presence, intention, and simplicity in daily life.

I’ve lived in several countries and travel often. I’ve also hosted people in my hometown through Couchsurfing, I’m very open-minded, easy-going, and comfortable sharing spaces with others.

I’m an active and energetic person, but also calm, respectful, and polite. I feel at home in nature and around animals, as I spent part of my childhood in agriculture with my mother’s family. Physical work doesn’t scare me, and I enjoy contributing in a practical way.

During my Workaway experiences, I’d love to learn new skills, possibly related to music, drawing, artistic activities, or mindfulness practices — but I’m open to many kinds of projects and happy to move out of the comfort zone.

I started working at 13yo, which naturally made me a solution-oriented and practical person.

I’m comfortable using a wide range of tools and have hands-on experience across multiple fields. I’m familiar with chainsaws and general gardening tools, have good knowledge of mechanics, and can drive and perform repairs on tractors. I also have wide experience with welding (TIG, stick, and MIG/MAG).
I’ve worked with concrete, painting, glass, and basic electrical tasks, and overall I consider myself very handy and fast at learning new skills.
I’m also tech-friendly: comfortable with computers, AI and basic troubleshooting.


For anything I don’t know yet, I’m always happy to be shown and enjoy improving.
