We had an enjoyable visit with James while he was here for a little over two weeks. Upbeat and engaged in everything he did. We did a lot of painting. James proved to be a capable painter. Tom and Joan were absolutely lovely hosts and made me feel very welcome in their home. Their house is situated in a stunning location with views way down the Tennessee River. James was always cheerful and polite, sociable, willing to take on any task, and to learn. Despite it being fairly late in the year, with winter weather threatening, we managed to get quite a few jobs done with James’ help. We repaired perimeter fencing, put a window in the greenhouse, and cleaned out the duck pond. James proved himself able to… read more

Shirley and Danny are a really kind and fun couple, and made me feel right at home for the two weeks that I was with them. Their house and yard (and dog) are absolutely lovely, I saw many deer grazing on their lawn, and the surrounding landscape is stunning as well. James and I stayed for one month with Aldi's family with this being our first Workaway experience. We had an amazing time and loved feeling like we were a part of their family.
