Hi, we are Maxime & Josephine and we are currently on our first trip here in beautiful BC, Canada. We love meeting new people and exploring cultures :)

Description

Hi, we are Maxime and Josephine, 19 years old and from Germany.

We arrived in Canada 4 months ago and are planning on working and traveling around the beautiful scenery of British Columbia. Our journey started in Vancouver where we both found a full time job in hospitality and worked there for 3 months. After that, we went to Vancouver Island to stay on a farm and we are still enjoying the beautiful nature here and taking care of lots of animals. Four our next destination, we are hoping to experience a true Canadian winter, preferably close to the Rocky Mountains. So far, workaway has been a great help for us meeting new people as well as cultures and getting to know the Canadian lifestyle.

We are both active and outgoing travelers and are not afraid to get our hands dirty. If there is a challenge, we do not stop until we accomplished it and fulfilled our task meaning that we are ambitious and always eager to learn new skills.

Maxime is a very sporty person and good with kids. Josephine on the other hand is very structured and organized and a good cook/baker.

Maxime:
I would describe myself as a very sporty person. I have played soccer since I can think and I enjoy working out in my freetime.
Besides that I have already made some experience working in a warehouse meaning that I a familiar with lifting heavey weights.

Also I love spending time with kids and taking care of them since I was a childcare worker for 2 years.

Other than that I am good in cleaning or tidying up, taking care of animals, doing office work (good knowledge of MS 356), hiking, etc.
Also I enjoy gardening and in general working in nature.

If there are any needs of learning German I can obviously also assist with that ;)

Of course I am always excited to learn new skills!

Josephine:
I am an active and very structured person who dances ballet and plays the violin. In Germany, I have already made some work experience in a 5 star Hotel as a waitress and also receptionist. I also worked in a small chocolates store where my main task was to package and sell pralines and pastries.

While I was in school, I gave private tutoring lessons in French and English to kids between the age of 11-14. Occaisionally I babysitted my neighbors child who is 3 years old.

From age 5 to 14 I was a horse back rider and I have some solide experince in farm work and taking care of animals.

Furthermore, I am very clean, good with office work (MS, Apple) and like Maxime, I am always down to learn new things!
