Description
I am a young professional, primarily having worked as a project manager on sustainability-related, international art projects in the last few years. Among other things, I ran trainings for artists on how to create art in a more sustainable way, co-created artivism methodologies (how to combine art + activism) and worked on a climate change-themed board game. Before, I also used to work as an English tutor and study-abroad mentor.
I grew up in Budapest (Hungary), I lived a year in Brazil and five years in Scotland where I studied Theatre & Politics. I'm a curious and lively person who loves cultural exchange and getting to know new people, but I also appreciate quiet time, like reading a book, or doing meditation.
Some of my hobbies include running and hiking, cooking, gardening and going to the theatre or to the cinema. Some of my favourite books are La vie devant soi / The life ahead of me by Émile Ajar and L'écume des jours / Froth on the daydream by Boris Vian.Interests

I can teach English and Hungarian. I used to speak Portuguese and French fluently but they both need refreshment. This is indeed one of the main reasons I joined Workaway, I would love to exchange languages, cultures, traditional cuisine, folk stories, histories, etc.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

Gardening & DIY:
I have worked on small-scale permaculture farms in France and Portugal and I was a volunteer at my university's community allotment and wildlife garden. I am not an expert on plants but I know some basics of plant-care, I have strong work ethics and I do not mind getting soil on my hands. I am sporty (I used to do athletics for 10 years) and able to do hard physical labour, as long as it is reasonable.
Child-care:
14- 18 year-olds: I used to work as a professional mentor at Engame Academy, a talent-care institution, where I provided advice and constructive feedback on career orientation, portfolio development, motivation letters and CVs for Hungarian students who plan to study abroad.
6 - 14 year-olds: I used to work as a volunteer tutor, teaching English and History to kids from a disadvantaged background. Finally, I participated in a social segregation & community theatre project with a mixed group of disadvantaged children from the countryside and high school students from Budapest where I learnt to manage the group work of people with different social backgrounds, motivation and capacity for concentration.
4 - 6 year-olds: During my exchange year in Brazil, I used to supervise children while their parents received free health care from an NGO.
Some other skills I have:
- taking care of animals (in my family we always had dogs and cats)
- experience in painting rooms and wooden furniture, fences, etc.
- basic video & sound editing skills (I can teach you to use editing software)
- theatre workshops / I can teach you some theatre and film analysis skills if interested
- teaching Hungarian / English (or basic French and Portuguese)
- I can teach you about international relations, politics and climate changeAge

What else ...
I'm a mix of an extrovert and an introvert: I love spending time with people but I will also respect your personal space and I also require some lone-time every now and then to "recharge".
I generally easily get along with everyone and my range of interests is so vast that I always find topics to talk about with pretty much everyone. I am most knowledgeable about arts (literature, theatre, film, interested in visual arts) and social sciences (politics, international relations, sociology, history) but I also read about psychology, economics, sustainable living, etc. I love sports too (running, hiking, football, volleyball, bouldering). Some more information
