  • Description

    Hi! Nice to meet you!
I'm Marta but you can also call me Mei. I'm from Warsaw, Poland where I studied at a bilingual English-Polish high school, and later I studied Japanese at university and later I started studying Japanese at university. My first degree is in psychology and I worked as a psychologist and a teacher for several years in Poland. As a teacher, I created workshops for children with autism/ADHD.I love using songs and mnemonic techniques in learning, I love when learning brings pleasure.

Right now I am a manager of a jewelry shop at Kansai Expo. I have 2 years of experience working at a front desk and 1 year working as a concierge in Warsaw in a five star hotel. Even though the environments where very different I enjoyed them both :). I love organizing and talking with new people. In hotels/hostels, I see myself working as a manager. I’m good at meeting deadlines and I like making things more efficient. I also love nature and want to see more places in Japan.

So far, I’ve visited Japan twice – once in Fukuoka, where I stayed for 5 months, and now in Osaka since April 2025.

I'm open and social, but I also value my quiet time. I enjoy working with children and animals (I used to have ants as a pet, I also helped at a alpaca sanctuary), and I’m happy to share my skills and energy wherever I can. I am also a dance teacher . I’m also a dance teacher. If you’d like to learn traditional European dances, I’d be happy to share! In Osaka I created my own workshop and we meet once or twice a month :).

I’m excited to meet new people, learn new things, and contribute to a positive, creative environment!

  • More details about your skills

I have experience working with children (4+ years old), including creating workshops about Japanese culture for kids with autism and ADHD. I enjoy connecting with people and animals, and I’m patient, creative, and adaptable. I love origami!

I also have professional experience in hospitality and administration: as a concierge in a five-star hotel, a receptionist at a hostel, and an assistant at a law firm. This gave me strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with different types of people. Until 13.10 I will be menaging a team of 20 people at a jewelry shop.

I speak Japanese (N3/N2) and English (C1/C2), and I’m always eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges. I enjoy both social environments and quiet tasks, so I can be flexible depending on what’s needed.

I also work as a teacher of traditional european dances (balfolk). Recently, I started dancing with fire too. It's my hobby :).
