Hi and Guten Tag everyone!

My name is Marlis and I‘m 18 years old.
I have always admired and loved travelling. Getting to know new cultures, nature and people is beautiful and the knowledge you learn on adventures is priceless. My wish is to see as much of this planet as possible!
In the summer of 2023 I will graduate from school and then I want to take a year off. During this time I’d like to travel the world and see and learn new things. I am open-minded, interested and curious.

I am a very creative and artistic person. In my spare time I like to paint or tinker. I also do not shy away from crafty tasks, because my parents are both craftsmen and I have been helping at home since my childhood. Whether it's easy or hard work, I always do my tasks accurately and neatly. Honestly, I'm a little perfectionist :)
I love working in nature and with animals! Of course with people too, but I don‘t mind doing things alone.
Besides, I have been playing the instrument tenor horn for 10 years, which gives me a lot of joy.

What else ...

My plan is to travel from September 2023 up to one year. I am mainly interested in longer stays in one country, as I want to keep travel costs as low as possible. If this is not possible and a place really catches me, I‘m also open for short stays.
To finance my trip, I work as an excavation assistant for an archaeologist. I have already done several holiday jobs in archaeology and am very interested in it, which is why I will most likely study archaeology after my year abroad.
