Hello there! My name is Marleen. I‘m 19 years old and from Germany.

A few years ago I decided to travel alone, after finishing school. My plan is to travel through south east asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, India and Sri Lanka) for 6 months.
I’m really open minded, curious and interested in many things, that’s why I want to gain more knowledge about other cultures, the traditions and the people living in these countries. But I‘m also interested in meeting other travelers, who might want to travel with me for a while.

The main reason I decided to travel is that i want to interact with other people from around the world and get a insight on their local lifes. I‘m looking forward to learn more about different professions and to support you as best as I can. I am interested in discovering the differences between my home country and the countrys I‘m about to travel.

I would love to learn some words of the local languages, because often every language has it`s own meaning of words. Furthermore I am looking forward to come in interaction with Native English speakers to improve my own skills. I am also willing to teach the German language if desired.

To begin with I am a very ambitious person. When I want something, I try to do everything I can to achieve my goal. I am trustworthy and you can rely on me.

I graduated school this sommer and I want to study journalism or creative writing after my journey. I dealed with this toppings in school and got hooked. So writing something creative for or about your organisation would be a pleasure. Furthermore I learned practical know hows in manual work such as gardening and wood crafting. I can also knit, croch and sew. I love beeing creative in every way.
Some other hobbys of mine are baking and cooking. I love to cook for my friends and family and to experiment with spices and new recipes.
I was also a waitress in a restaurant for two years, so I am familiar with it.

I am really interested in trying something new and learning new work processes. So it would be really nice to get this possibility.

I love being in the nature, because it gives me a lot of energy. I also love animals and in my opinion it`s our duty to threat them right. In my free time I play piano and soccer in an all girls team.
Furthermore I really like to read and as I already said, I have a strong passion for writing.
