I'm Maria and I live in a charming town in northern Italy overlooking Lake Garda, called Salò.

I recently graduated in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Granada, with a special interest in ethnobotany, ecological and gastronomic anthropology. My academic journey has deepened my appreciation for traditional knowledge, wild food and the intimate connection between people and landscapes. I’m currently involved in studies related to foraging and the cultural significance of wild plant.

I would describe myself as open-minded, enthusiastic, and always eager to learn something new. I genuinely enjoy being around people, sharing stories, knowledge and experiences. I believe in the beauty of cultural exchange and find joy in the little things, whether it's a walk through nature, a good conversation or a shared meal.

Languages have always been a big part of my life. I studied at a language high school and speak English, German and French. I'm a native speaker of both Italian and Spanish, and would be more than happy to help anyone interested in learning these languages! :)

I have travel experience and love discovering new places, trying traditional dishes and immersing myself in different ways of life. This has made me a very adaptable, independent and easy-going person. I embrace simple and slow living.
I also love animals deeply and have always been surrounded by them, both at home and through dog-sitting work, which has taught me a lot about responsibility and care.

Recently, I completed a photography course and bought a camera. I’ve also taken a theatre course, which helped me grow in confidence and creativity.

I’m very active and have always enjoyed sports, particularly athletics and trail running. I’m not afraid of physical work and enjoy getting my hands dirty. I also love cooking with fresh, local ingredients, often preparing traditional Italian and Spanish dishes, always inspired by the Slow Food philosophy.

In my free time, you'll find me walking, painting, reading, writing, listening to music, playing the piano or simply enjoying a good tea.
