Hi,
I’m Mara, 18 years old, and from Germany.
I’d describe myself as someone who’s curious and open to new adventures. I love trying new things and being outdoors - whether it’s horseback riding, walking my dog, or exploring new places by bike. I wouldn’t call myself an adrenaline junkie, but I enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone every now and then and taking on new challenges.

In my free time, I also love baking, especially cakes—perfect for those rainy days when staying indoors feels cozy. I enjoy trying out new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen, and I’d be happy to share my baking skills during my travels.

People who know me would say I’m reliable, thoughtful, and easy to be around. I enjoy deep conversations, but I also like having fun and being spontaneous. I might seem a bit reserved at first, but once I feel comfortable, I’m a relaxed and cheerful person who loves making the most of every situation.

I’m passionate about learning and personal growth, which is why traveling is so important to me. It allows me to experience different cultures, meet new people, and broaden my perspective.

Although I’m new to Workaway, I’m really looking forward to this experience. I love the idea of contributing to meaningful projects, learning new skills, and connecting with others along the way. My goal is to make memories, grow as a person, and hopefully create friendships that will last beyond this journey.

I just graduated from high school in 2024 and I am eager to dive into a Work and Travel experience.

A few years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in France for a few weeks and spend several months in Canada, where I attended school and explored the beauty of the country.

I love being hands-on, whether it’s helping around, planning something special, helping outside, or baking delicious things when the weather keeps us indoors. I’m always eager to try new recipes and share my culinary creations with others. Fluent in both German and English, I enjoy connecting with people and sharing cultures.

I’m excited about the chance to learn new skills, contribute to your family, and make amazing memories along the way. I can’t wait to see what adventures await!
