Hi my name is Manou.
I finished two different studies in Belgium and try to travel as much as possible. I've been in Asia for 3 months and I am currently in Latin-America. I love meeting new people, trying new things, being in nature and around animals. Horses are my passion and bring me joy. I love everything that has to do with horses. From riding, to groundwork, to mocking out the stables.
I am a social, easy-going, sunshine kind of person. I can easily adapt to different kind of situations. I am a hard worker and my skills are very diverse. My studies revolved around economics, mathematics, supply chain and business informatics. The last year I studied in French to improve my languages. My own preference ofcourse is to work with animals because they are my passion and make me happy, horses in particular. But I've always done student jobs in restaurants and bars so I know a thing or two about hospitality as well. On top of all that I love to take pictures and make video's as a hobby.
Overall I would say I'm an easy fit and a hard worker to add to your team.

I have a masters degree in commercial engineering and business informatics and afterwards I got an additional bachelor in French in digital integrated supply chain.
Since I was 16 years old I've always done student jobs. Most of them were in hospitality. From bars to fine dining restaurants. I've also worked in event management as a student since I was 16. I worked on Tomorrowland each summer with an hospitality and creative bureau. Next to that I did some other jobs such as Red Bull and tutoring. I love to help people and try new things. What all of this has thought me is to work with clients and always do my job with a big and genuine smile. I will always do my best, whatever the job/situation might be.
But apart from my business minded experience, I loooove animals. When I am around animals is when I am happiest. Dogs, cats, sheep, cows, ... I love everything. But most of all I love horses. My dream is to make a living out of something with horses. I've been riding horses since I was 5 years old so by now it adds up to 20 years of experience. I love every horse but what I love most is riding young horses. I've been doing dressage, showjumping, some crosscountry and a lot of outdoor walks. I love riding without a saddle and bit when I go on nature walks to get back to basics. I've started my journey with groundwork around 4 years ago and this is a new piece of my horse journey that I am developing and I love it a lot. Just to connect on the ground with a horse is so amazing. In my previous workaway experiences I worked with horses everyday and developed a lot of new skills and boosted my groundwork. I worked with a lot of different types of horses and spend a lot of time working with a 3y old stallion.
I guess it's clear that I just thrive in a situation where horses are involved. It doesn't matter if I'm mocking out the stable, standing next to them or riding them.

What else ...
My hobby is taking pictures. I travel with an iPhone Pro and a small camera so I can take some nice pictures.
I also like cooking. I've only recently started cooking for myself so I am still learning and searching but again, I love to try new things and get better.
I'm also very good with kids. I have 2 little sisters. One of 8 years old and one of 2 years old and I love them so much.
I love playing card games, board games, ... And I love reading.
I'm open to trying everything and anything.
