Hey ! I am Manon, I am 19 years old. I like meeting people, learning langages and I looove writing (stories, poems or just small sentences that don't really make sense).
Last year, I took a gap year to learn about the world, about nature and about myself. I volunteered in environmental projects, such as Archelon, an organization advocating for the protection of sea turtles in Greece, Dio Pigadia, Saja (permaculture farms), OASEEDS.
I've started uni a few months ago now. I do learn a lot here, from the classes and the people I meet, but I miss travelling a lot. What I've found and learnt by volunteering is inestimable. I've discovered how learning is not just about school, but about being committed, about being willing to share, and about accepting the present as it comes. Coming back to city life means fighting against time once more, and forgetting to love. So I decided to extend my subscription for one more year. Dreaming is not over !

I have volunteered twice so far, each time for environmental projects in Greece.
I worked for a month as a volunteer for Archelon, the sea turtle protection society of Greece, where we were monitoring, protection the sea turtles and their nests, as well as raising awareness about the threats to their survival.
I am currently (november 2024) volunteering in Dio Pigadia, a permaculture farm in the Southern Peloponnese for the olive harvest Season !
I have also comitted myself in an organization in France, of the youth engaged for the climate.
Otherwise I am taking a diploma to become an holiday camp activity leader (or working in activity centres and schools) so I have expérience with children.

Emilio and Milena have a lot of knowledge about medicinal plants, and they are willing to share it :) I enjoyed a lot walking with Emilio in the garden to find some herbs for the pasta (every time, he would tell me the latine name of the plant, its properties and how to use it) as… read more
