Hi! My name is Manon, I’m 18 years old and currently in my first year of veterinary school in Portugal, where I study entirely in English. I’ve been passionate about animals since I was a child. At home, I take care of a dog, a cat, and a rabbit. I also practiced horse riding for 12 years and looked after a privately-owned horse (half-board) for one year.
Over the years, I’ve hosted and cared for over 30 dogs at my home, so I’m very used to adapting to different animal personalities and routines.
I also have experience with children. I have a younger brother with autism, whom I’ve helped care for regularly. This has taught me to be patient, calm, and attentive. I’ve also babysat for other families and enjoy spending time with children — playing, doing activities, helping with everyday routines.
This summer, I’m available for the whole month of August, and I’m looking to stay with a family who needs help with their animals. I can walk dogs, feed and groom pets, clean, play with them, and assist with stable or yard duties. I’m also happy to help with housework, gardening, or even have French conversations if someone wants to practice!
I’m calm, responsible, and always eager to learn. I love discovering new cultures, and this experience would be a great opportunity to improve my spoken English while doing what I love most: taking care of animals.
