My name is Madison, and I am seeking an adventure that will help me gain new perspectives, contribute to an important project, and create meaningful connections. I am motivated by the idea that I can create change through action, and wanting to create a better tomorrow for earth and all of its inhabitants. I am most happy when I am spending quality time with others, writing, or being able to work on fulfilling projects. I am currently taking a gap semester from university in order to travel, and I believe this is the most rewarding way to experience a new place.

Throughout my time at school, studying communications, I have been able to learn and implement important communication skills that I believe make me a strong candidate for a workaway experience. I have taken classes focused solely on team communication. Throughout that course, I worked with a small group of other students to create and execute a local volunteer project. I was able to learn valuable lessons about team communication, roles, and how to effectively work together. I have also worked in many customer service jobs where I learned skills such as problem solving, listening, and attention to detail.

I am always looking for a new adventure. Some of my favorite hobbies include kayaking, playing tennis, and hiking. In the future, I am interested in a career in conservation work, so I am very interested in eco projects and learning about sustainability and preserving our environment. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching movies, playing board games - my favorite is Clue - and cooking meals together. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and writing, which I believe helps me learn more about myself and the world around me.
