Over the past few years we have had the privilege of living in different countries and experiencing their cultures and diversity. This has come with the benefits of learning new languages, ways of thinking and skills.

We are Ana and Luciano, a couple with the common goal of creating meaningful connections with the communities and locations we visit. Our main drive is to provide tools for change, to learn everything we can, and teach what we know.

So why Work Away?

Travelling around as tourists may be fun to most people, but we feel that we are missing something. We are not interested in just taking pictures for our social media.

Instead, we prefer to engage with the local community:
• share their daily life, so we can better understand its people and create relationships with them;
• know the challenges they face, and offer what we can to help; and
• take part in cultural exchange, so both locals and us can learn of new ways to see the world.

More about us

We are curious, creative and easy-going people. We see each other as analytical and proactive, and we can spend hours discussing ideas about how to solve problems. It brings us joy to work and see how our efforts benefit people around us.

You can expect Ana to bring a lot of energy and self-driven efforts to identify and improve her immediate environment. Luciano is very supportive and strive to create a pleasant workplace.

We can offer a wide range of digital skills, including social media management, in particular:


- Audiovisual content production
- Writing and editing.
- Text correction: before printing new flyers, menus, social media posts, etc.
- Email management: responding to and informing customers via online channels.

- We are enthusiastic about physical jobs involving farming, gardening, picking crops and fruit.

- We have little or no experience in building houses, bungalows or any form of housing. Nevertheless, we are open to this type of work as we both have strong manual skills and an eye for detail.
