Travelling
Description
I'm a 25-year-old artist living in Brussels. I studied art for 6 years, and for the past 2 years I've been working intensively in a bar as a waitress and barmaid. Although I enjoy the social contact, this pace of life no longer suits me. I need to get away, discover new horizons, meet new people and learn other trades. In the past, I've already hitchhiked around Europe and the United States, where I was able to work with locals on agricultural projects. I have very good memories of these experiences and that's why I want to try the workaway again. I'm a flexible, dynamic and curious person, and I love being able to put my manual skills (painting, drawing, construction, DIY...) to good use by working with others. The prospect of being able to contribute to meaningful collective projects, to learn and to pass on is what motivates me to travel.

I'd like to take the opportunity of a workaway to learn about other cultures and languages. I'd particularly like to improve my English and Spanish, but why not also teach others the basics of French.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

I began my studies in Paris with a course in art direction in visual communications, where I learned the fundamentals of graphic design (illustration, typography, scenography, signage, publishing). Later on, I was encouraged to study editorial design in more plastic ways in Brussels. I was able to work in different media such as video, sculpture, photography and painting.
These two artistic courses allow me to envisage the deployment of my knowledge in cultural fields, but I'm also on the lookout for new experiences, notably in collective settings where exchange and openness contribute to the evolution of all kinds of multidisciplinary projects touching on creativity. I like to build things, to be a handyman: in the past I've been able to take part in a number of mainly cultural events (creating sets for shows, painting murals for a Parisian café, setting up a whole communication system for a music and theater festival...). These kinds of collective projects make me want to enrich my technical skills and put my experiences into practice in a context of exchange and altruism.
Working in a café/bar has also taught me a lot about myself: I've opened up to others by being of service to them, and I've also learned to channel my physical energy and strengthen it.
So I'm motivated by the idea of developing my skills, but I'd also like to learn other trades, related to nature for example. I'm open to all possibilities for missions that correspond to my values and the common good.Age
