Hi future host?!
Im a swedish 19 year old girl that lives in the western archipelago. I am a very artistic person and have studied art for three years at Schillerska Gymnasium. I am currently working on many small art projects to sell in a local market organized yearly in my municipality. I love painting with oil paint and watercolour. I also enjoy drawing digitally but I'm still learning to get comfortable with that! I have also always loved to dance and perform in front of others. When I was 6 years old I started to dance at a local dance academy, I danced there until I was 13. I picked up dancing again in February 2025 and have since danced at a Dance Academy called "Twisted feet" during both the spring and autumn (total of 24 weeks).
I have studied Japanese for almost 5 years. I have studied mostly on my own at home but for two years I got to study in school aswell. I am now starting to learn N4 level grammar. It's really difficult to study Japanese by myself, I bet that if I had all 5 years to study in school I would have come much further in my studies. I can't wait until I get to speak with native Japanese speakers!
I have my gap year right now before I start studying to become a hairdresser in the autumn of 2026. After that I will study photography and then pursue my dream of combinating wedding photography and hairdressing. This spring I want to experience new things and get out of boring sweden XD.
This journey I would like to explore my spirituality and connect with nature as well as practicing Japanese!
I think my purpose with life is to be happy and spread joy to the ones around me, I don't want to waste a second of my time on this earth and that is why I decided to try out this volunteer thing. :D

I graduated from Schillerska Gymnasium (Upper Secondary) in the spring of 2025. There i studied Art for 3 years!
I worked in various workplaces and I will tell you about all of them from my most recent employment to my first!
Currently I am employed hourly at a gymnasium (Upper Secondary) in Gothenburg as a substitute teacher. There I independently conduct lessons for various subjects. My responsibilities included taking attendance, delivering lectures, assigning practice tasks, supervising exams and helping students understand the course content.
In the summer of 2025 I worked at Gothenburg Roro Terminal. There I had multiple roles. As a mechanic I worked alongside a colleague to repair and service "terminal tractors" and trailers. In my role as a warehouse worker and cleaner, I worked independently, managing inventory and cleaning company vehicles.
For two summers (2023-2024) I worked at Våffelhamnen (Ice-cream shop). My duties included operating the cash register for both our small grocery store and café, regular cleaning, dishwashing, baking waffles with ice cream and topping, organizing merchandise, serving ice cream to customers and taking orders.
During 3 weeks I had a summer job (2023) at Hälsö Preschool where I cared for children aged 2-5 and helped decorate the preschool's facade and playground.
In the summer of 2022 I had a summer job as an "Activity leader" at Fritidsbanken. I planned and led activities for children and youth, assisted the municipality's Fritidsbanken with lending out recreational equipment and documented loans on paper and online. (Fritidsbanken is a non-profit organization in Sweden. It is like a library, but with sports and outdoor equipment. Here you can borrow equipment for active leisure, such as skis, skates, inlines, life jackets, tents, balls of various kinds, clubs, fishing rods, football boots, helmets, emergency kitchens and much more.)
