Description

My name is Louise and I’m from Belgium (the french part). I’m a curious girl interested in a lot of different things. My interests are drawing, painting, sewing, tufting, stained glass,...well, anything related to arts and crafting. I also enjoy climbing, learning piano and reading. My friends would say I’m an easy going, creative, quiet and funny person.

I'm an animal lover, I grew up with many pets home : 3 cats, a hamster, a mouse, a rat, a turtle, 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, chickens, 2 parakeets and a dog.

I graduated in Graphic Design and also in Cultural Managment. I actually work in an association organizing cultural/creative activities and events for children and teenagers.

As you can imagine I like to travel and explore the world: I started traveling on my own when I was 19. I spent 2 years abroad, in Canada and Australia and loved it. I’ve also been to a lot of countries in Asia. I have some great memories volunteering abroad ; in a blueberry farm in Australia, in a hostel in Canada, in a apiary farm in USA and renovating an old mill in Estonia. And I can’t wait to have many more great experiences :-)

Durning my volunteering experiences I learned about blueberry harvesting, did a lot of weeding, took care of animals : pigs, chicken, bees, dogs, peacocks, etc and helped around with many things.

I went to the scouts for 12 years so I can help with building easy wooden construction.

I also used to help my grandma with gardening / fixing things in the house / painting. Anyway, I'm motivated to learn any building skills. I'm interested in anything related to self sufficiency as well.

In Belgium I worked as a graphic designer and also have experience in digital communication and promotion so I’m able to help with that if necessary. I also have a diploma in more traditionnal arts; I love to draw and paint and I’m always interested in any creative project ! I also enjoy street art (spray painting) and painted in some festivals in Belgium. Now I work with children and teenagers, teaching them artsy skills. I enjoy the company of children :-) I did a lot of baby sitting during the past years.
