We are Lila & Matthieu from France. We are taking a gap year to discover new cultures, experience different ways of life and meet amazing people.

I’m Lila!
I’ve just graduated with an engineering degree in applied mathematics to work in AI. During my studies, I did an exchange semester in England and an internship in Ireland. This gave me a good level of English and I was able to meet extraordinary people which gave me the desire to try another experience abroad.

Hello I’m Matthieu!
I'm studying for an engineering degree in nano-physics. Last year I went on a humanitarian mission to Senegal to build a school and install a drinking water supply system. Feeling useful and being in contact with the local people and children really made me want to volunteer again.

We love music and have been playing the piano for several years. We also like drawing and enjoy all kinds of sports. In particular, we are passionate about nature and love hiking adventures. We are quick learners, dynamic, responsible and hardworking. We like teamwork and contact with people.

We would love to help in the following areas :

- Farming, cooking, taking care of animals.
- Taking care of children and teaching. Matthieu worked as an activity leader at a holiday camp and Lila gave math lessons to students.
- Renovation and construction work.
- Painting and decorating.
- We're friendly and we enjoy interacting with people.

We both have scientific backgrounds and are good at solving technical problems.
We are hard-working, dynamic and independent. We are not afraid of manual work and we put a lot of effort into everything we do.

Matthieu’s skills :
- Responsible for a mountain club: I organise hikes for groups of students and ensure their safety.
- Activity leader certificate: creating activities for children in holiday camps.
- Used to physical work: I've worked in a farm, in a vineyard and in construction.
- Community work as a volunteer

Lila’s skills :
- Very good English: I've worked in English-speaking countries.
- Music diploma: participation as a pianist in concerts. I'm comfortable in front of an audience.
- Computer based work: I'm able to manage a code project in its entirety.
- Mathematics tutoring for students.
