Hi there! I'm Laia Garcia Rios, born and raised in the city of Barcelona. I’m a big fan of nature, animals, and anything that gets me outdoors. I’ve been going yearly to the Pyrenees since I was a kid, so I’m no stranger to mountain life and all things rural. After finishing my degree in Social Integration I moved onto my current Psychology studies (BSc) because I’m fascinated by how people learn and grow.

I come from a tight-knit family with two sisters, and my youngest is currently 14, so I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience with child care. From helping with school projects to being the “big sister” guide through teenage years, I love being involved in kids' lives. I’m also a lifelong animal lover—my house has always been full of pets (dogs, cats, and even rabbits!), so I’m really comfortable caring for both animals and children.

I speak fluent Catalan, Spanish, and English and a bit of French. I’ve got my driver’s license too, so I can help out with transportation or moving around. I’m passionate about education and love finding creative, fun ways to engage kids.

I’d love to meet new people and experience as well as learn from different cultures. I’m excited to make genuine connections and help out in whatever way it is needed .

I have a well-rounded skill set in child care as I have grown up with 2 sisters as well as have worked with children in various settings such as private tutoring, scout groups, etc.
My background in psychology gives me a deeper understanding of child development and behavior, making me adaptable to different family dynamics.
I'm comfortable with household tasks, from light cleaning and cooking to helping with homework and organizing schedules. As an animal lover with lifelong experience caring for pets, I can easily manage the care of dogs, cats, or other animals.
I speak fluent Catalan, Spanish, and English, and I have a driver’s license, which allows me to help with transportation and errands. I’m responsible, organized, and always looking for ways to support families in a positive, nurturing environment.

What else ...

I love the arts. I'm very interested in painting and drawing and anything related to the visual arts. I even gave a chance to tufting and made some rugs as Christmas presents. I enjoy music quite much and have taught myself how to play the guitar (I try my best...).
I concider myself an active person. I did classical dancing and ballet since the age of 3 until four years ago, and right now I enjoy going camping and hiking whenever possible.
