I have many interests. I'm an active, adventurous type, who is open to new experiences. I'm sociable and curious, so i love to hang out and converse with others. I also like to read and write.

Description

I am a 21-year-old Australian male travelling in Europe and elsewhere in the Mediterranean region and am looking for compelling volunteering/work exchange opportunities.

I have a strong desire to explore the world, meet new and interesting people, learn about and immerse myself in different cultures and lifestyles aswell as explore the natural and manmade beauty that exists in every respective place.

It can be difficult to expound on one's good qualities without feeling awkward or sounding pretentious, but I'd describe myself as an adventurous, spirited and good-natured type. I'm sociable, have an interest in people broadly and am endlessly curious, which inclines me towards conversation. I am bookish and read widely and often. There is not a lot that exists outside the scope of my intrigue, but I have a particular interest in History, Psychology and the "great literature" as they call it.

I am active and have a love for sports and exercise, have grown up camping and enjoy spending time outdoors in nature as often as possible.

I'm conscientious, organised, cleanly and have always had a good work ethic. I am not naive about the work part of workaway and in fact, I think it adds tremendously to the experience and meaningfulness of the cultural exchange and allows you to more fully ground yourself in a culture and people.

I am open to all the different possibilities and am adaptable to any host's needs.

First, I think giving a brief account of my work experience would be elucidating for hosts wondering what I've done before and am capable off. I have previously done 4 workaways. One teaching conversational English in Istanbul, i worked at 2 hostels in Albania and did a mix of labour/Maintenace and organising of activities at a secluded beach camp in the South of Turkey. I have also worked 2 jobs here in Australia, firstly as a youth soccer coach for many years and then at Australia Post for 3 years.

In reference to my work experience and life more broadly some of my skills are:
- Ability to run and teach English lessons confidently.
- Organise and run events and activities for others.
- Handle Administrative and other organisational tasks.
- Capable physically of doing all sorts of laborious Maintenace and building tasks, with experience in using tools.
- Have lots of experience and corresponding ability to work with and take care of kids.
- Am handy with technology

Some non-work-related skills are:
- I'd like to think I'm a good conversationalist, with a strong interest in a broad range of subjects and an ability to articulate myself. This also translates to being a capable writer and communicator in general.
- I have played Soccer (yes, I know its Football, but I can't help where I was born) my whole life and would consider myself pretty good. This translates to a natural ability in sports and physically activity broadly.
- Can cook and am capable in the kitchen.
